Recommended Posts

This was posted by lucio81 (not entirely sure if that's his nick) himself on here somewhere, thread's recently been bumped even I think.

Anyway this deserves more than one thread anyway, it's brilliant.

Gantz Graf.

what's your favourite music videos (except gantz graf), people who love it?

I don't really like music videos because they often just don't represent the things happening in the track, and the plyPhon vid does. That's why I like it obviously.

a cheap Cunningham presentation; but it nonetheless captures some elements of the track that i was unaware of previously; some perspective zooms and such were very thoughtful.

but i do see how the visuals are a bit low on resolution, frame rate, and can suffer from a bit of 'default tool palette' lighting effects and objects. it could be more refined which does not becken a superior response from me, but it is quite an experience at its own rate.

i really dig it/appreciate the work, but the background is kinda dull and linear imo. That way i can't help but think okay, a piano roll visualisation. Could be much better with just a few tweaks and twists there.

i like that about it though. it makes it a real strong visual representation of the audio.

the guy said that the vid was supposed to be an exact visual representation of the song. it's not supposed to be emotional or hard hitting or any shit like that, just like a really sweet visual accompaniment for plyPhon.

and i think it's fucking great.

wasn't gonna say anything but I agree. seems really odd to apply the spatial constraints of a classical score to visualizing a song like this. I like the swirly shapes but nails on a racetrack just seem less imaginative than closing my eyes.

however I like

even though it ends with a totally cheesy explosive fart so part of it's probably taste.
