Solo Strike
100% correct. None of the ravers I know would ever listen to them these days. However, all the people I know who like Foo Fighters and Reading Festival massively bum them Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/42491-new-prodigy-interview/page/3/#findComment-953892 Share on other sites

Music for the jilted generation has atmosphere in spades. Skyliner, 3 kilos hugely atmospheric. Even the experience has atmophere to it, listen to the weather experience. To me the fat of the land feels contrived. As of regards to the hedonism of the early stuff. It's definately part of the appeal for me. Fat of the land feels contrived in a lot of ways, it's sounds like over produced and mostly lacks the rawness that made those first two albums so special. I will concede that there are a couple of tracks that I like (Funky shit, Smack my bitch up and Climbatize) I have rambled for too long already. So don't even start me on the other records. Guest hahathhat
let's not latch onto the word "atmosphere" please. it's one out of many i used. if you want a word to latch onto, i'd say Fat Of The Land is more "aloof" or "pensive" Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/42491-new-prodigy-interview/page/3/#findComment-954204 Share on other sites
Guest Aces
It's the word that stuck in my mind as to why I like those two albums. It also has a lot to do with my opinion on the album and they album after. They lack any real mood, feel or as I said before atmosphere. Guest hahathhat
Fat Of The Land is far more Meta than Experience or Music 4 The Jilted.
