squarepusher squarepusher vs metal

A friend took me to Judas Priest, Megadeth and Testamant yesetrday as he had a spare ticket. I anjoyed the trash metal of Testament but found the others pretty fuckin camp.

When the pusher gets going he rocks harder than these metal "giants"..... im taliking 97 era, 2001, 2004 and currently. Can't wait to drag this guy to vsnare and pusher in april. He already got a taste of aphex at oxegen and it blew him away.

Ive found that breakcore, drill n bass and like are often a kind of alternative music for metalers. I know loads of them who are are into vsnares, squarepusher, aphex etc.

But seriously I always find it sad when Metal-people like Aphex or other musicians I like. They (well, many of them) listen to it for the aggression only, which is annoying. I'm not saying the aggression mustn't be enjoyed, I do, but they miss the ironic aspects (not to mention the structure, general beauty of the music, [general backwardness of the act, ] ...) and get off on what they think is related to their "I rebel against my religious parents' house"-meh-kind-of-aggression ...

Yeah I know, my dislike for metal is still blatant, sorry :undecided: I'm going to be fair and say there might be good metal out there that I've never heard of, but you gotta admit many of them fans are pricks. Nice pricks maybe, but still pricks. Priklopil.

Yeah, there are a lot of metalheads I know who either think AFX etc is shit (not music because it doesn't have real drums or guitars), or totally wicked because of the loud stuff going on.

i've cleared the floor at breakcore parties by playing top quality jungle music.

these metal kids need to fuck off back to the rock clubs where they can get their angry teenage noise fill and mosh all they like.

There are also plenty of metallers that like those artists because they recognise good music when they hear it. Your protectionism over those artists is also pretty gay.
