Electronic music duo Plaid (Andy Turner and Ed Handley) present a special show for Ether 2009. They have been recording together to critical acclaim since 1988, and they new album Scintilli is due out later this year.

I see no one replied to this but if anyone went did they get a recording of the all the new material they played?

I managed to catch 3 new tracks but alas my memory card has fked up and I cannot get them off!

Great show though and the collaborations were pretty spellbinding!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm new here and just looking around for the first time.

I went to the Ether show and the collaboration with the gamelan was one of the most enchanting live performances I think I've ever seen! I much preferred this to their Warp 20 show... but then I will admit while I like Plaid they aren't my favourite artist.

I think they are doing a DJ set in Portsmouth this weekend. As I live in Pompey I'll probably go and check them out again.

Will do. I got the weekend wrong though - it's next Saturday, the 17th.

When the weather is good (like today) Pompey is an alright place to live, despite rumours to the contrary! :)

i like the shopping center, lol, i really do cos it's all laid out so well, it's like a mini town, lol, and im not even joking. :)
