The melody of LCC

After another listen, the end of this track is fantasmic

I've always found LCC to be quite comedic. It has that pop gun beat going and then from 2:40 to 3:15 it descends into musical slapstick barfight action, sometimes I'll be all arms and legs jumping about to this bit, makes me quite dizzy lol

The following mellowing out and "destressing" of itself is a nice progression and one that I think sets the mood for other tracks on the album like Ipacial Section, Pro Radii, Augmatic Disport and even Sublimit seems to find peace and what would traditionally be defined as "melodic order" within itself.

damn, good catch. i've listened to the FACT mix like 10 times and LCC like 50, and i never noticed that.

I must say that I got really catched by the melody in LCC when I listened to the album first time. When I was choosing material for dj sets I always took a copy of the track and slowed it down digitally. As Awepittance mentioned some time before in an Autechre-related post they seem to build in small silent details you can only listen to in full effect with concentrated headphone-listening. The melody from LCC got some small changes through the track as I mean to hear that they drastically open the stereo field of the melody after some development of the track near the end.
