Sometimes I just go ahead and make a whole folder on my mp3 player of simply Melve. Yes. Melve after Melve after Melve. Only Melves here today I say to myself as a stagger down the street listening only to Melve. All day.

This tune os so phenomenally awesome it juggles the universe and dances the hula with God himself.

Infact. The Godhead itself is simply MELVE....

PS. Balls to Melve. not even a track. a kind of cartoonish transition interlude. No more talk on Melve FFS (for friggs sake)

Absolutely the best post about Melve EVER.

I'm pretty sure Left Blank is rated lowly in general but I don't really see why because I love that bitch!

All of Quaristice. I find myself listening to it a ton but most people seem to only like a select few tracks from it.

Rale is amazing. Probably my favourite track from Quaristice. I read elsewhere it be described as 'incredibly, inhumanly cold, yet so seductive; the perfect soundtrack to hypothermia, I think.' which I thought summed it up well.

Reniform Puls

Tapr

I thought Calbruc was clearly fantastic till I came here and realised quite a few people don't rate it. Same goes for Recury. And Hub too, not enough love. Those 3 together is my favourite part of Chiastic Slide. Yet everyone just goes on about Nuane, which I've never liked..

Theme of Sudden Roundabout - the melody is soul cleansing. It's so deep. It's incredible. Stuff like that is why I love Autechre.

VL AL 5 - the melody that quietly reveals itself briefly half way through then goes away again is so sad. I prefer Draft's dark, brooding tracks to the funky ones (or just, basically, I find 6IE.CR, V-Proc and Xylin Room get tiring for me before they end).

Iera - it's just so fucking nasty when it begins. Like rooting around inside an alien's brain. As overused that phrase may be, it's really appropiate for this track.

Fermium - I love the beginning, before the breakdown which feels obvious. Then it gets good again towards the end. But I do think on an album like Untilted it's neccessary to have it sit between Iera and The Trees and I do enjoy it when it comes on.

Fol3 - it was a car crash at first, but then I listened to fol4 which I thought was amazing. It clicked straight away because it sounded like the best song ever, but the more I listen to it now, the more it seems like it's not quite there somehow. Now the more I listen to Fol3 it's incredibly tight for the first minute or so.

Vi Scose Poise is probably underated. It creates so much space, and the melody is one of Autechre's most beautiful. I first listened to Confield in pitch darkness while lieing in bed and when that sound came in it was amazing.
