I'm thinking live action Maus. lol, that's the movie Spielberg should have made instead of Schindler's. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work! So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces. -organized confused project Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/43224-watchmen/page/10/#findComment-974957 Share on other sites
autopilot
Just saw it again tonight. Great movie. Enjoyed it even more the second time. There's a lot of interesting subtle things, like when Manhattan is transferring the generator to Antarctica, there's a sign in the monitor that says S.Q.U.I.D. It's an acronym that stands for something, but I thought it was pretty clever. Also, I noticed that the logo for the newspaper looks a whole lot like Rorschac's logo that he leaves with tied up criminals. Once again I thought the soundtrack was pretty well perfect, and didn't really have many qualms with Silk Spectre's acting. A few of her lines early on are delivered kind of awkwardly, but I see her performance getting ripped on a lot in a ton of reviews and don't really see what was so horrifically bad about it. Now I'm just looking forward to the DVD with all the stuff they cut out. I'm hoping it's more Ozy backstory and less pirate story, though. I feel that Ozy's backstory would help flesh out the movie even more, and improve it, while the pirate thing was more analogous to the medium of comic books, and appropriate in the comic book form of the story. Watchmen works as a movie, but the whole point of the pirate comics was a meta commentary on comic books. The only way I could see it making sense in translation is if, in the movie's version of the world, the pirate story was a cartoon or a movie instead of a comic. My two cents.
