Hi Weed, seriously good luck and I'm glad you got something out of it, listening to other peoples stories can be quite touching, I'm in early recovery myself and I could sit here and sinicalypse if I wanted but people are probably tired of me talking about it by now. Just remember, don't be put off by the word God, it stands for "Good orderly direction" and this can come from whatever you believe I am an atheist and my "God" or Higher power" is merely just an energy that follows me around and most of the time works through people, keep open minded and listen for the similarities.

i know it's ridiculous, but no matter how well i know someone, i always feel proud that they sucked it up and started going to meetings. i've never been in the program but follow a lot of the principles in my daily life and am so much better for it.

best of luck weed  sorry i have been a douche to you in the past.

good for you man....just remember it's not the quantity of the meetings you go to but the quality of knowledge you get from them

My parents are both recovering alcoholics and they used to take me to meetings all the time when I was very VERY young. It helped me recognize and snuff out addictive patterns on my own behavior before I was caught up in something more tricky to get out of. My dad relapses so often he doesn't even get his white chip anymore. But he still went tonite.

I truly believe the trick is two things

1. you actually have to WANT to stop...for good...not just for now

2. you need to find something that you enjoy in your life that doesn't involve drinking to keep your mind occupied.

Good luck man! Takes balls to have the humility to realize there may be a problem in the first place. See if you can find a sponsor to keep you on the straight and narrow. They're all human beings just like you with demons in their closet. and it helps them to help you.

hey man, at least you can admit you have a problem . . have you admitted it to yourself?

i'd say he has if he's admitting it to a bunch of people on a bbs. Like I said before man...everybody has their time to hit rock bottom. Sometimes it takes a culmination of events where some of it stems from what you're doing to yourself and other situations you have no control over. but if you can name one instance where doing drugs and drinking has solved any of the problems in your life that made you head down the road to decide to do them in the first place, i'm all ears.

epsy-weed is a girl mate. Also good point well made, not a single decision made on alcohol was ever a good one, I hit my rock bottom at my last relapse, I know that because it feels different this time and this time I really don't want to pick up a drink again where as before I wasn't sure.

lol, papa just can't keep himself from meddling...but in this case I approve.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.
