honestly, i dont really see the point of it. most warp fans (AFX, Ae etc) will already have the selected tunes (i bet Windowlicker, Roybiv, LFO) on cd or via MP3. if they repress "The journey home" please let me know.

It's just going to be a celebratory/comemorative item I think. Im a little cynical about that line 'Your top 10 will combine with our top 10 to make a historic album'. In other words, Warp will be putting Maximo Park and Jackson on the tracklist when no fucker votes for them.

i might be a bit critical as well with this "best off we all already have", but running an indie label for 20 years equal a nobel prize i'd say. sure i'm not crazy about all their recent choice but their catalogue is really strong. these days, i was relistening to the first black dog cds : really really good if you ask me.

they should just do something like warp 10+3. just make some remixes. only problem is the new bands are NOT WORTHY OF REMIXING AE/AFX/SQ. they could remix boc i guess.
