Squarepusher 'secret' gig

Saturday 26th November;

LEEDS - BRUDENELL SOCIAL CLUB

Squarepusher + Paul Dunmall + Steamboat Switzerland + Alessandro Bosetti

 

 

This isn't listed on the Warp site, but i'm 99% sure it's true. Don't know about ticket prices or door times.

 

If any watmmers are going and would like a share a drink whilst commenting on mr. jenkinson's bass noodling then PM me.

I went to this. It was excellent, as to be expected. Steamboat Switzerland scared the crap out of me though.

 

All of Royal Bognor were fantastic. Mick Beck on saxophone (and on bassoon), Paul Hession on drums and, of course, Tom Jenkinson on bass.

 

Photo of Royal Bognor follows. There were a lot of people taking pictures, but this is the only one I managed on my ancient camera.

Would have been cool to see a video of them playing, according to the review they were all very impressive technically.

i wrote that review. My best mate made me do it for the website. She's like co-owner of Drowned In Sound or some shit.

 

 

Steamboat Switzerland were awesome. I didn't expect them to sound like that.
