Guest Shit Attack
dont they become albums when theyre made into recordings you can buy and take home ? it dosent really matter if it wasnt initially conceived as an album same as film soundtracks werent originally conceived as "albums" either. once its made into album format its an album by golly ! @_@ ! I very much prefer their more playful, mostly instrumental stuff previous to Musick. Time machines is a nice LP but it isn't very notable or unique compared to the other Coil ambient works (how to destroy remixes and worship the glitch). Loves Secret Domain was my intro to Coil but i always felt the album was a little unbalanced, some of the songs were excellent and others were not really my style. I grew to love L.S.D. eventually but Stolen and Contaminated (it's remix and outtake counterpart) always felt more complete and diverse. The opening song 'Futhur' and the 2nd to last track 'Her Friends The Wolves..... ' are probably my 2 favorite Coil tracks of all time edit: It's really hard to choose a favorite Coil album, i'm also a huge fan of Worship the Glitch and 1,000 lights in a darkened room & the Unnatural History series. Perhaps in the literal sense he didn't, but I think you'll agree the piece far more musically cohesive than a lot of the stuff being called an album today. Why are you being so impolite about such a simple disagreement? By the way; I cannot believe I failed to mention 'Deloused in the Comatorium' or 'The Soft Bulletin'. I suppose it's just a matter of not having enough space. Oh well. Because this thread is specifically about albums, and I consider compositions be something totally different. Not to mention it's pretty much the only composer in a total mix of stuff that's completely unrelated and it's just really annoying when people latch on to just a couple composers to name drop now and then to act like they're into classical music. Guest zaphod
lol glass plate. how do you have any idea if he's namedropping or if he actually loves that composer and wants to include him? i'd certainly include gorecki's 3rd symphony in a list of "albums" if it meant i could tell someone how much i appreciate it. am i namedropping it by doing that? you sound so fucking insecure. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that, no matter what they were thought of musically, shaped your world. When you finish, tag some others, including me.
