There probably wasn't going to be much more R&S action in the future anyway, but Moritz's stroke seems to have really eliminated some possibilities... although he's evidently still engineering some stuff with Carl Craig in a non-performance role.

But I always liked how anything with this/BC/CR/Maurizio immediately became archival once they felt it was a good body of work anyway.

echospace

i would agree that they are similar. not as good though. sometimes when i listen to r&s i want less vocals but echospace doesn't work at those times either. its too ambient or something.

Somehow it just got too digitalized. The noise from all the delays and reverb machines have this special warmth whereas the The Deep Chord releases don't sound warm at all. The noise is just... well, way too noisy.

haha, and Modell makes such a big deal about his 100% analog albums, so it's just funny to see how that flounders amidst reactions like that. I don't know if the reason I don't like Deepchord is for lack of 'warmth' though. I was kind of into the cassette type sound of an Intrusion jam I heard.

Well, some of Rod Modell's stuff is actually really good, but it still lacks the same warmth which was found on the old R&S, Basic Channel, Vanquier & Substance releases...

yeah he did. or at least something like it, since it was never explicitly confirmed. but Ernestus is doing gigs alone and he is recovering, but still kind of active in planning other things. thankfully his trio album is already recorded and sounds sooooo good from the samples.
