i loved Adaptation and Being John Malkovich and I loved the book so I'm pretty sure I'll love this film

i don't think they got around to reshooting anything. they thought the kid was too real acting and wanted to reshoot everything but spike got his scary and bleak realism movie. there is CG post on the heads though.

oh, the test footage makes me happy! i'm so glad it's in spike jonze's hands. this is one of those books that has an impossible magic, and is so hard to translate to the screen . . even if jonze fails i'm glad he's the one trying.

Man...its one of those childhood things. Its just one of those books.

Adam Corolla was talking about it with Jimmy Kimmel on his podcast a few days ago and they tore apart the book because the writing is actually quite lame. If you removed the text and put it in any other book it would not be that interesting. But the guy who wrote it also drew it, so he gets some love.
