i actually find proper US televangelist-style white teeth quite disturbing, they're so blatantly not natural.

Now that this mystery has been solved, we must next figure out why Brits talk like their shit don't stink all the time.

natural healthy looking teeth are better than the ludicrous donny osmond style smiles.

I always assumed it's the same reason gays have bad teeth - eating tons of ass.

i always thought this was bullshit. my teeth aren't perfect, but they are okay. but after a while i started to look at my friends, and i kind of see where the americans are coming from. it's a matter of how you're judged though -- no one really cares about that so much in the uk and so we see no real incentive to spend £££ on dental charges or go to the nhs to have someone drill holes in our mouth. i haven't been to the dentist in ages. and i probably won't go until i believe there may be something wrong with my teeth...

i think you'll find we're probably the most self effacing nation on the planet.

mine are actually quite fucked, mind. stained yellow because i used to drink strawberry-flavoured toothpaste when i was a kid, had veneers put over the front ones to hide the yellow crap but now i've chipped the veneers to shit from bumping into people while headbanging too many times. had some removed as well because they were overlapping eachother. i hate my teeth.

what i don't get is why it's quite common for people to find that front gap thing attractive. is it because of madonna?

my orthodontist (when i was 12) said i didn't need full braces because it would ruin the charming character in my smile. when she said that i smiled, and she FUCKING WINCED. what a load of shit. what kind of orthodontist says that? one who only wants to work when it involves full-paying adults.

however, i do find subtlety imperfect teeth attractive (apart front the front gap, especially in an otherwise perfect mouth of teeth)
