yes that's true, but what i was getting at is that the people who decided to launch the war had ulterior motives in the same vein as the reasons for going to war with Iraq. Zaphod is right, it had nothing to do with 9/11, Clinton's cabinet had the Afghanistan invasion plans written up and on the back burner, it just took a catalyst (9/11) for the war machine's gears to start cranking away.
