I wonder.. Is there any sympathy for the police officers who agree with some of the protesting but have no choice but to be there because leave was cancelled?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a full scale riot just for the entertainment factor, and because I'm right in the middle of it... But it seems like some of the police hate might be unnessecary? I dunno.

I've read that the climate camp people were inviting police into their tents, giving them tea and stuff, but other groups were far more aggressive. The armoured vehicle thing is quality though. It was funny seeing some of the atari teenage riot-esque slogans graffiti'd on the Bank of England this morning.

I know it's bad but I just don't have a side to take on this protest thing, because most of the protestors as was previously stated don't have a clue what they're protesting.

they're protesting against the economy. god is on their side.

Am in semi shock at the moment, the rumours that the police were responsible for a mans death at G20 have now being confirmed. We have a video of police assaulting him, despite his back being to them and his hands being in his pockets.

I thought that it was probably because he was kettled, and knew there would be conspiracy theories but this is just something else, direct proof that an innocent man is dead as a result of police violence.

And not only that but they tried to blame it on the demonstrators.

the only people i know who've been assaulted by police at protests were NOT protesters, one of them was knocked into and smashed into a wall with an old lady by the ass of a police horse at the RNC protest in new york in 2004
