many are pieces of series.. i see alot of pieces. i rec Cugel's Saga and then decide if you like Vance... basically extremely lucid and rolling lolling lit-speculative fiction. the uncanny ability to use a word when many would write a sentence or fragment.

CUGEL'S SAGA, mind you, is the sequel to EYES OF THE OVERWORLD, so you might be a little lost if you start with this one. There's a pretty cheap paperback TofDE floating around on ebay and amazon... that includes Tales of the Dying Earth, Eyes, Saga, and Rhialto. well worth the $10.

great description!
