Your top five short BoC tracks

Recommended Posts

The Smallest Weird Number

My all-time favourite BoC track, and the single most powerful melody I have ever heard.

The Color of The Fire/I Luv U

An extremely potent atmosphere.

Old Tunes vol. 1/Random 35 Track Tape: Side A, track 13

Such a raw expression of the humble feelings that comes with grandeur and extreme power.

Rodox Video

So many subtle details come together to make this perfect.

Bocuma/Boc Maxima

An organic masterpiece.

Skimming Stones

I had an intense experience with this track when I first heard it.

Sac

Mike and Marcus casually putting together a track that expresses the true feeling of being so happy that you want to cry. And they do it perfectly...

Melissa Juice

The weird and wonderful world of nostalgia.

Over The Horizon Radar

A subtle tip of the iceberg.

That was more than 5. Sue me.

Inspired by Greenough's Crystal Voyager! that movie makes me feel so good. that one & Morning of the Earth... such good music too.

I love all of the surfing references.. sometimes i think the 'boards of canada' is just a reference to what the frigid waves must be like in scotland.

Where is this "Trails" track

Lol, so long ago.

1. Rodox Video

2. Trails

3. Sattelite Anthem Icarus Outro (Reversed)

4. Fly in the Pool

5. In the Annexe

(Wouldn't You Like To Be Free (Sample) and Blueberry are honorable mentions. It's hard to decide).

"Blueberry"?

That's what fredd-e's wiki calls the outro to sixtyten. I'm not sure why. The outro of of Triangles and Rhombuses is called "It's too orangey".

Edit: I've had it labeled as that for a while. My apologies if I came off as an esoteric turd, lol.

Ah, I see - for me, any tracks that are unnamed officially, stay that way - so until BoC decides what to call it, it will always be "untitled" in my library.

1. Kiteracer 2

2. 1986 Summer Fire (live at warp)

3. Over the Horizon Radar

4. Dave (I'm a Real Traditionalist)

5. Constants Are Changing

i wanted to have Hiscores from Old Tunes on the list, as it has the feel of a vignette to me, but it's over 3 minutes so I suppose that disqualifies it. awesome track nonetheless.

Not sure what my top 5 is but I do know that "Heard from Telegraph Lines" is bang up there at #1.

agreed - it exacerbates a lot of nostalgic thoughts for me - can't quite put my finger on why this is

Yeah, definitely. Hiscores made me break down and cry once. I wish there was more music out there with such an ability...

Exactly the same for me, it's a strange one. It really does stir the emotions.
