dude, I was born and raised in Berkeley and have plenty of experience with what goes down in Oakland. My issue with it was not that black militants would engage in crime (no brainer) but precisely what analogue wings said, that his accent, all his mannerisms, the way he would leave himself basically exposed except for his little pop gun - c'mon. It just wasn't convincing, simple as that. They could have taken the same character and made him much more menacing I think, there certainly is a rich vein to be mined with the whole bizarre nation of islam business.
