somebody list 5 "drill n bass" artists please

I never fully recognized "drill n bass" as a subgenre. I think it is a term used by people who hear something, don't know what to classify it as and figure it fits. Personally, I think it is a retarded categorization.

they're the same, xcept breakcore is more noisy and stuff, you know CORE like HARDCORE but with BREAKBEATS, and drill is break beats with lots of SNARE RUSHES. so yeah, difference is breakcore attemps to be tough or something.

ZOMG! Lazerz pew pew pew!!!!11!!1!!!!1!oneone!shift+one!~!!!

drill 'n' bass doesn't exist

drill 'n' bass doesn't exist

drill 'n' bass doesn't exist

drill 'n' bass doesn't exist

drill 'n' bass doesn't exist

A lot of IDM fags would say Go Plastic is drill 'n' bass and they'd be wrong.

Every time an electronic genre evolves it has to take on a new name. It's fucking retarded.

there's definitely a ripple of De Burgh in the collective consciousness lately. I keep singing lady in Red to one of my friends, this has been going on since January. And just this past month i keep seeing him on TV. Has he got an album out or something?

he has indeed, came out here yesterday!! my mum was straight on that shit!! its called FOOTSTEPS if your interested!!

wrong. drukqs (2001) isn't close. If anything is "protobreakcore" it is Atari Teenage Riot, Shizuo and DJ Scud... years before.

Technical Itch could also be considered "protobreakcore"... if you are still talking mid/late nineties.

here is some "protobreakcore" shit as an example (from 1995)...
