cider gives me the shits, I'm sure you're all delighted to know that....

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

does anyone else get massive hangovers with cider?

pretty sure i pounded only 2 bottles of woodchuck one night and woke up halfway through the night with my gut in knots, tripped me the fuck out.

haven't touched it since.. or is the problem woodchuck?

yeah, Cider does give you a nasty hangover - Magners seems to mess me up pretty bad the next day so I steer clear of it usually.

aw, that fucking sucks. what a shame, it tastes great but i can't be bothered to deal with that kind of after madness. i honestly felt like shit after 2 ciders, 24 oz. that never happens even though i am a booze lightweight. i'll just stick with hoegaarden.

i used to drink a cider called 'old rosie' its made by westons and is about 7.5%. its a flat cloudy cider and it used to be served with chunks of apple!! its pretty lethal stuff!

but i have no idea where you can buy it from as i have not seen it in any of my local shops, i used to get it on draught at my pub but it was quite expensive at £3.40 a pint, that was 3 yrs ago though so i hate to think what it is now!

if i go down the pub now i normally drink Jacques, its pink and its fruity and its also the only over ice cider i will drink because im not really a fan of all the new served with ice ciders, like magners and bulmers, i think they taste horrible, IMO!!

:D

kopperberg is just a fancy alcopop. the oldie german looking bottle makes it seem all sophisticated/manly but youre still just drinking the same sort of shit pregnant 14 year olds do. magners/bulmers on the other hand is quite nice, but i have to whisper that because its technically an abomination. sugar + ice + from ireland, wtf? strongbow/blackthorne is manky piss - also quite funny because in finland strongbow is marketed as the real english cider. thatchers is cheap wonk juice, what the brain-dead alcys drink at my hometown local (although still good for the occasional pint). scrumpy on the other hand is just a laugh. less said the better.

good cider is always found on tap rotation. there'll be the pints that taste like shit, or make you stick your hand up molly's skirt, or fight the guy selling crabsticks... but occasionally you get a real gem.

in the meantime i'm gonna go find me some playground swings to sit on

no it was my pub, i got the first pint of the barrel!! but thats how its meant to come if its proper westons cider, saying that i had 3 different westons on at the time and it may not have been the 'old rosie' that had apple chunks! its hard to remember tbh, for obvious reasons!! :D

recently ive been enjoying Ye Olde English triple litres for 2.16 from the bargain boobs. I had a white diamond a few days ago too, utterly, beautifully atrocious.

i honestly believe drinking 3 litres straight from the bottle finish to start is a fairly impressive talent.

man after my own heart. i spent all of last summer sat in parks around nottingham drinking these.

worst Cider i've had is Sainsbury's Basic Cider - £1.26 for 2 litres i think.

ah shit, the memories (of lack thereof), we used to get lashed up on the sainsburys basics challenge every weekend, consisting of sainsburys basics vodka, cider, lambrini and cherryade all mixed together in a dustbin. then when we got used to that, we added some sainsburys ruby port, and then i have no idea what happened.

posh chick, eh? westons does good cider actually, thatchers is better though - thatchers' katy is proper lethal and they used to serve it at my local, many a messy night ensued.

jacques is only drunk by girls, or guys with funny coloured hair and tight jeans.

i'm pretty sure sainsburys sells it. that's the only supermarket within walking distance of where i live.

oh yeah, also i'd like to say that idiron's shit in a plastic tub is easily the worst cider i've ever tasted. seriously.

battery acid would be more palletable

but that cocktail sounds like one of the first things i drank when i was 12. i swapped a beer for a half litre of it with my mates sister, she had made it for her boyfriend but he wouldn't drink it.

interesting huh

is it an official cocktail?

yeah shit son, that's pretty intense. kinda reminds me of how in olden days they used to pick up all the dregs and put it in a bucket which you'd pay a farthing for a shot of. same thing except you're using the dregs of asda price.

yeah, the stuff's nuts. there is an official name for it but i don't want my mates googling it and coming up with this forum...

anyway, here's some exceptionally old photos (2006) of me mixing the shit:

obviously we were feeling quite well-off to use strongbow instead of basics cider...
