bananaman and other 80s tv cartoons

Recommended Posts

i was talking to my girlfriend tonight about bananaman and she was like wtf, she isnt English and didn't understand a superhero called bananaman.. then i said off the top of my head what about other superheros like super-ted and shows like c.o.p.s.. so i went on a massive nostalgia trip of 80s cartoons i grew up on.. here are some youtube segments of particular shows i was obsessed with as a child in the mid 80's

I was old enough to watch most of these when they were repeated in the early 90's, but even at that time they seemed like tacky old shit. Was I just cynical, or born 3 years too late? Thundercats, Flash, Cities of Gold, Superted, whatever; they used to come on TV and just depress the fuck out of me.

I loved PC Pinkerton however, and my parents made me a 4th Birthday card with PC Pinkerton on it, and they posted it to the BBC and it was read out by Andy Crane in the Broom Closet.

We still have this on VHS somewhere
