new Moby video directed by David Lynch

Recommended Posts

i dont think the song is that bad

it reminds me of the vibes of the Play album, wich i like

but he indeed did make lots of bullshit after that, and the new album probably won't be any different (apart from this track a bit)

at first i was disliking the video, looked like it was done pretty cheap and quick in flash

but it really matches the vibe of the song, so i guess thats what matters

Hmmm, Moby doing a mixture of M83 and post-rock...

Yeah video works well with this... well done.. and good song despite moby pretty much sucking dick for the past 5 years.

I usually love everything Lynch puts his hands on, but this sucks. Also, I think Moby's track is affecting my mind into believing that the video sucks even more.

note to self: sample famous music from a famous directors work, and in 15 years, I can get him to do my music video.

wow, i forgot all about that with go sampling the twin peaks theme. do you think lynch knows/cares? the whole 'teaming up' with lynch and moby is in part because of transcendental meditation. there was this big event a few weeks back that a ton of celebrities were introduced to it. transcendental meditation is disguised as a 'world peace organization' and to 'destroy sress' but it's really a crazy celebrity cult that's similar to scientology (it costs a ton of cash to join). it sucks david lynch is vasically a spokesperson for it, i used to have a lot of respect for him up until that and inland empire. he's trying to recruit other celebrities into it, it's all a scam.

also yea the music video is a really crappy flash video that basically anyone can do. moby's next album is supposed to be more like play, so i'm looking forward to it. apparently his albums after that were all to please record execs. and to try to sell as many albums as possible.

I loved play when it came out. I listened to it constantly, and saw Moby live.

As I saw the songs on TV more and more, I got more bored with it.

Then 18 came out, and it was pretty apparent he was cashing in with that.

I havent listened to moby since that.

And I'd be extremely surprised if Lynch didn't know about it. It got a lot of notoriety for that sample.

seeing david lynch talk about meditation was inspirational for me and i think some aspects of their plan are good... but having meditated a bit since then and knowing how much of it is kind of a scam i wonder if he would seem as grounded seeing him again. i liked inland empire though, it seemed like he was really trying to push the edges of what works in a film, going back to mulholland or lost highway the less shaky camera work actually seems kind of fake.

not really liking youtube much for art stuff lately, the framerate, watch something like this and it's like your brain is struggling to make it look smooth.
