its funny, I tend to be ultimately attracted to their really drone pieces, complete unending cluster chords, Fucked Up (3:57 AM) is a good example of that

 

 

well, lol! anyone who likes SOTL likes drone music, i would hope ... i guess austin mental hospital just didn't quite do it for me, in comparison to their other stuff, but it's still impressive

its kind of like many sotl songs are really "songs" because they have a lyrical shape to them. I love that about them. but for me the most amazing moments are when they start to sound like a "drone" in the classic term, like austin texas mental hospital, it sounds like a huge string instrument that never has to reset its bow, something beautiful but almost intimidating...

this was kind of like the view I had the other day, but it wasn't snowy
