I'd do it.

I used to use nothing but Soundforge 4.

Lately, I can really only stand to write music on my Korg DS-10... I sample the patterns into ableton and construct live sets from it...

same here, and i quite enjoyed it.

i tried to do that again recently, only to realize i've become very lazy.

Yeah, not nearly enough output vs. time. And making your own synths from samples is a real pain in the ass. Copy paste copy paste copy paste copy paste copy paste copy paste copy paste copy paste...
