250,000 times 3 is 750,000.

45,000 divded by 3 is 15,000.

250,000 + 15,000 + 500= 265,500, you are then left with the remaining 40, 40/3 = 13.33

I think my knowledge of numbers comes from my experience with cars and costing etc down to the last penny, I don't know, but it's always come reasonably natural to me.

Angles and degrees too, making sure bits can fit in the space of the engine bay etc, where they can go.
