I could talk for hours about how bed is pretty much the best thing ever. So I decided to start a thread.

Points to cover.

My mattress was free and sucks.

I have a really nice one but it's in North Berwick, Maine. When I moved to California my friend that I was moving with was supposed to get a U-Haul but that plan fell through and he left it at his mom's house.

Fucking hell.

My bed is 100% ridiculous. It consists of a thin, beat up mattress with a bunch of crushed springs. No boxspring. Then there's a ripped up Tempurpedic layover on top of that, given to me out of pity by a friend. Then I have one more spongy thing thrown on top of that, but it only goes about 3/4 of the way down the bed and I'm 6 ft. 3.

My sheets are stained with my ex's period blood. I have no comforter, just sheets and sometimes a $5 bright pink Korean styled blanket. I have a boyfriend pillow.

One of my roommates uses three futon mattresses as her bed.

➤ I tend not to listen to too much music in bed these days.

➤ It's acceptable etiquette to sniff your own farts under the cover.

➤ As a personal experience, the other day I woke up with a jolt with my body pressed right up against the wall, it was as if I had awaken myself by walking, on my side, into the wall.

➤ Bed Etiquette - i toss and turn all night and have to pee alot so i sleep on w/e side has the easiest access to the door

➤ Computers in bed (A step too far?) - yes and no

➤ Alarm Clocks - digital, double alarm, one goes off three hours before i need to get up, the other goes off right when i need to get up.

➤ Changing the sheets (How often?) - wash then once every two weeks? i shower BEFORE i go to bed.

➤ Personal Experiences (Pissing, Shitting, Fucking, Horses etc) - lots of fucking and self pleasing

there is nothing I want more than a fancy mattress but I just can't afford it yet.

My gf and I have shared a cheap, full size Ikea mattress with no box-spring for 6 years. I wake up sore and stiff almost every morning. It doesn't bother her so much because she is very skinny. I'm trim, but I have wide shoulders so it fucks my back.

I've thought about getting one of those memory foam mattress toppers in the interim because they are only $100 or so if you get them from overstock.

I wish I would have plunged and spent twice the amount initially and just gotten a dandy. Would have been a great investment.

We alternate sheets. My favorite are the fancier ones or the ones my mom had from before I was born. 300 thread count makes a noticeable difference but sometimes nothing feels better than the ones that have been softened for 30+ years.

I'll keep you posted when I eventually get a new mattress.

Any recommendations (for a mattress or a topper)?

ffs. spent ages writing out mine and my gfs and button stuck and lost the whole thing.

basically mine is pretty normal thick wooden frame with nice dark brown feathered cotton. average big double bed. it (used to, as of last weekend all changed) have contents of days pockets on bedside table, along with smoking/drug paraphernalia, big lamp. bed ftw. cum stains all over it due to fucking. fetal.

hers is fahookin massive. at least 1/3 bigger than mine sideways. probably expensive white feathered cotton. bedside table is a shrine, contains lube/vibrators, odds and ends, makeup, drugs such as valium and viagra. bed ftw. cum stains, blood stains, urine stains. fetal.

i adore my bed. a solid 160cm wide mattress on the floor, double buckwheat pillows. favourite position: her on top (i like to see her body move and twist, i love to hold her hands for support), for sleeping: all over the bed on her thighs

bed is incredible - my bed right now is pretty much falling apart and giving my back a bit of trouble :unhappy:

but bed is sweet, so warm. i have a thick as double-layered duvet. mm bed
