Best news I've heard this year. I was just listening to the White Album today, and marveling at it's messy lack of focus. Can't wait to hear the Flaming Lips equivalent!

At War with the Mystics is probably a top 5 album for me. I love everything about it.

While I realize this is the "undecided" emoticon, I feel it captures the "I don't know how anyone can't see how awesome that album is" sentiment I'm going for. At War with the Mystics makes the world a better place. Not that their previous two releases didn't or anything. Those two got me hooked, then At War with the Mystics sealed the deal in making Flaming Lips one of my favorite bands of all time. Also, I touched the bubble, and it was good.

So excited.

Mystics was relatively disappointing, but Yoshimi and The Soft Bulletin made me a fan for life.

definitely very interested in hearing this. They don't blow my mind their music isn't pushing enough for me, but they're great.

Aside from the first two songs Mystics is pretty great... gets way to much shit for having vein in stars, pompeii, and sound of failure imo... it overall flows nicely too

man i hate yeah yeah yeah song, and it overtakes me was almost along the same lines but turned out alright. ambulance siren in mr ambulance driver was also kinda annoying.

other than that, YEAH, good album. take back what i said earlier about not liking it :)

yeah you should see the video for ambulence siren it makes it even worse.

i'd get into them if they went back to the sound pre-soft bulletin. in a priest driven ambulance is a really good album. i like that noisy pop they were making, but the stuff after that is too saccharine for my tastes.

good news. the christmas special was barely holding me over.

I just watched Christmas on Mars, and it was quite possibly the worst thing I've ever seen. But I still look forward to this.

hmm. when i watched christmas on mars it was one of the best things that ever happened. still remains one of the greatest experiences of my life.

a three track preview of this just leaked. look for it on other forums. it sounds fantastic.

they peaked with priest driven ambulance / hit to death (ie: when dingus wrote the tunes)
