i'm surprised how many of you shop at H&M considering it's such cheap, fall apart after one wear, flimsy crap.

i'm wearing shoes, socks, pants, pants and a shirt.

I've always regarded H&M as an excellent store.. at least regarding the cost-benefit ratio.

You won't find much exciting stuff but the basics are nice and I've bought lots of nice pullovers, shirts and pairs of jeans there. Oh and the quality is great - there's not one piece in my wardrobe which has shrinked up/bleched out over the years.

H&M might as well stand for "hit and miss" really - some of their stuff is hideous, a lot of their shirts and jumpers are decent basics but kind of shoddily made, like you say. I bought a green v-neck jumper there this summer and it developed a hole on the elbow pretty quickly. I find their jeans to be a total mixed bag, lots of ugly washes and detailing, but they do some slim raw denim jeans which are really quite nice for the price! I think Uniqlo's much better, across the board, for the same price range but sadly there just aren't many of them in this country outside of London. If they had the saturation of H&M, the world would be a better place.

Oh, and the new H&M Matthew Williamson collection is super-gay. Apparently it's going to be in every H&M store unlike the Comme des Garcons collaberation stuff which was really limited. It's really... colourful.

About the only acceptable look... Unless you prefer this:

I got an incredible CdG blazer from the H&M on Oxford Street.

You shoud see the Ralph Lauren cardigan I have too. Iain, you would love it.
