i've decided i can't play the remake simply because of how they've murdered the close-ups. looking forward to the instalments though.

Hmm it would seem like there are two conflicting schools of thought here, the new school and the old school. I think I have an answer that will keep all parties happy though. How abouts those that want to see the the first game graphically reinvented with the core of the game untouched, do so and those that don't want any modification done to the original stick to the original.

Didn't 1 and 2 get re-released on cd with audio dialogue? How did you all feel about that?

No, the CD release didn't have any speech.

I feel the same way about game remakes as I do with movie remakes. Why fix something that isn't broken?

At first I only wanted to bitch about the remake but things got out of hands.

Btw. LucasArts is not re-releasing some of their classic adventure games on Steam.
