i agree, i never feel any sympathy or compassion for the person being tased, they always seem to be smug pricks that probably watch too many "know your rights" videos on youtube.

That guy is actually Raiden, but he changed his name to lead a normal life, as opposed to getting get over here'd by scorpion on the regular.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

once i snuck some alcohol into a concert hall once and got noticed by the security guards. after being manhandled to the floor twice, they escorted me out of the building, arms restrained, and more guards following behind. they were taking me into another building where i would be placed in a holding cell. as soon as i figured this out, i shook like a fish out of water and fought these fuckers for about 30 seconds, i was a bit drunk, and my adrenaline was pumping, and i was like a monster. i was 18 years old, and overpowering several full grown men, security guards mind you, and they simply couldnt contain me. this one fucker, was just holding on to my wrist for the life of him, thats all the control they had among the chaos of my rage, and theres pushing and shoving and twisting and pulling for what seemed like forever, i was clearly overpowering this group of security guards, until one of them takes a full out run at me and tackles me like a fucking quarterback. my face smashed into the pavement and soon i was laying on top of a disgusting pool of blood that had gushed out of my face, it was like industrial paper getting scraped over my skin

so they finally get me into this into this tiny little cubic cement room, about 1.5 meters X 1.5 meters, all white, with a tiny little window in the door. im chillin for a good couple hours. anyway, long story short, the police arrived, took me into the back of the cop car in cuffs, and drove me to the police station. we get there, and the cop gets out of his car, calls his boss, gets back in the car, and fucking drives me directly back to the concert, where they arrested me. i received no charge what so ever for the whole occurrence, with the exception of a ticket for having an open bottle of alcohol in a public area

my left arm hurt for months, and my nose is now slightly crooked

total wtf.

i think any judge would be forced to drop the charges or something. at the least, the officer would be suspended.

you guys weren't listening closely. when he asked why he was being arrested, the response was "there's a warrant out for your arrest."

so the cops are right, the basis for the warrant doesn't matter at the time of the arrest. a judge has already determined that there is probable cause for the man's arrest. once that occurs, when the cops spot someone with an open warrant, they arrest him. doesn't matter what the warrant is for. that's between you and the judge. it's a cops job to execute outstanding arrest warrants.

therefore, this annoying loser is wrong and the cops were properly doing their jobs.

they HAVE to state what the warrent is for. i have had plenty of friends arrested for drug trafficing, and a few have gotten off BECAUSE the cops would not state what the warrent was for.

no they don't TSM. i was a prosecutor for three years. most of the time, the cops will have no way of knowing what the warrant is for.

whenever you get pulled over for speeding, for example, the cops take your license and run your name, license number and plates through a database via the computer in their car. they're checking for stolen cars, whether your license is suspended or revoked, and warrants. your name gets compared to a huge database with that information. if you have a warrant, it will usually just say something like "Warrant Issued 04//15/2005, Cook County, IL, Felony B" or something like that.

so the cops usually can't tell you what the warrant is for even if they wanted to. The only time they would know is if they are out executing a specific warrant on a specific person, i.e., they're working a homicide case and the judge issues a bench warrant for a suspect's arrest and then they go and get him. Other circumstances in which a bench warrant may get issued include where someone is required to appear in court and fails to appear. the judge will send the dogs out after you and have you dragged in (this can also happen in civil cases if you have a judgment against you and you fail to provide information to a judgment creditor that is trying to collect on you).

might you both be right, and the police don't have to tell you what it's for, but also the court might toss it cause the police didn't tell you what it's for?

because that would be classic American justice right there.

no, that makes absolutely no sense.
