Exactly what I thought. One of my vietnamese friends is considered a shame by his family because he is planning to become an engineer. All his family (who have shitty jobs) absolutely want him to become a pharmacist.

this kid pisses me off because i hate people who say things like "i don't play video games," or "i spend my time doing 'adult' things.." people have said things like that to me before as if they're better than me and it made me so mad. a few years back when i was like 20 or something, i was talking to this dude about ps2 games and he was like "man, i don't have time to worry about video games.. i'm looking in to buying a house.. you need to, too" ... all i could think at the time was "shut the fuck up"

Sounds like he's a real smart kid that's going to go through life fulfilling everyone else's wishes in an attempt to fill up all that nothing inside.

Does anybody see the irony here? His argument against video games is that they are a waste of time and will not benefit humanity in any way. Then he sits down to play his keyboard, presumably to discover the musical cure to cancer

on the topic of video games, they are no less a waste of time than any other artistic medium. Film, television, music, physical art, all of these things serve absolutely no purpose other than to convey one individuals creative (but otherwise mostly useless) ideas to another.

lets get to the basics, hes fucking clever and also dissing video games. people who have a hard on for video games like to think theyre clever, that being good at video games is directly because of agile mental abilities. so in effect hes turning around and saying "youre all thick" and everyone gets riled up. notice how a lot of people are also making pot shots to belittle his intelligence in this thread. total nerdflex.
