Guest zaphod
trilogies are good. i hadn't noticed that i like them, but i guess a lot of great literature is basically one book split into three. i tend to like either short stories or groups of novels revolving around the same character, building on one theme. shadow country, yeah. did i say i loved it? i read it, kind of lost interest in it actually, but i recognize it as being great. the writing is really fantastic. i dunno, i like the southern gothic thing. right now i'm reading reflections on exile by edward said Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/46337-please-recommend-me-some-authors/page/3/#findComment-1065673 Share on other sites
Guest Mr Salads
By lost interest do you mean you didnt finish it? Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/46337-please-recommend-me-some-authors/page/3/#findComment-1065676 Share on other sites
Guest zaphod
no i finished it, although i started reading it months and months ago. by lost interest i mean the last couple hundred pages were a real bitch to get through and i wasn't terribly interested in what was going on. i lost a lot of motivation on that one. same thing happened when i read underworld, although i think delillo is terribly overrated.
