The autotune is bad at least in that it's terribly derivative; they're not doing anything new or interesting with it. But what's worse is the uninspired, two-note melody.

I think the chords in the background are nice and I like the bendy synth sound, but the melody -- and the lyrics *cringe* -- are pretty sad.

my basis of attacking it is that autotune completely removes any semblance of emotive phrasing and makes it sound like a crappily produced, dull, flat, synthesizer, which sounds horrific. if you like it fair enough, but i honestly cant see how you hear anything but pain.
