The videos you have, it's just cars nobody can afford being raced with. That's not a car show imho. Fucking Motorweek is more of a car show then that.

They test real cars too. It's basically Top Gear, if it were hosted by five or six jovial, knowledgeable, real racecar drivers, minus all the non-car stuff, and most importantly, no Clarkson. Not to mention that it's edited for adult attention spans and free of all of top gear's general ratings-chasing wankery.

Again all I see is people driving quite luxurious cars on a race-track. That's not a car show, it's a racing show.

I prefer Mythbusters with cars as I call TopGear LOL

well they have done plenty of tests with m3s, s2000s, 350z, miata, boxster, civic, etc, i just couldn't find em on youtube. also it's obviously better on dvd with english subtitles.

I understand your enthusiasm and this IS a good show. But we don't drive everywhere on racetracks and although Top Gear does a LOT of this it does also test consumer cars, cheap affordable hatchbacks and MPV's and tests the kind of cars average folk buy (although I must agree last series this was to a much lesser extent). they DO, do it though. Also if I wanted to watch cars go round a track all day I'd just go watch the repeats of the Grand Prix. There is no denying Top Gear is entertainent of a high quality and appeals to a massive target audience.

The above videos bored me quite quickly, the first one was predictable, and after 3 minutes the GT-R is well in front, after that the race is over, no point wathing the further four minutes really (which I didn't, so apologies if I'm wrong and missed anything exciting).

I think it's much more exciting to see sports cars being pushed to the limit on a track racing against each other by top professional race car drivers than to watch a loudmouth blowhard hamfistedly abuse cars on an abandoned airfield.

and btw, you did miss the lambo pass the GTR, and the ancient NSX clocked faster times than both porsches. don't let the lack of flashy ADD-friendly editing put you off.

but yeah, Top gear is fine entertainment for the masses.
