Loud upstairs neighbors

So I've got this chick and her kid living in the apartment above me. I went to sleep (~12:30am) last night while listening to the tv directly above my head, some sort of video game blasting through the speakers. *BEEP.... BEEP... BEEP. BEEP. BEEP BEEP BEEPBEEPBEPPPBEPEPPEPE. ROUND OVER. ROUND 2. BEGIN* rinse and repeat roughly every minute. and this morning i wake up (~8am) to them stomping around their house wearing what sounded like combat boots. like, literally stomping, as if with every step they had to crush a family of insects beneath them. i'm not really that pissed about them running around in the morning, but i've already left a note for them to STFU after midnight, and i'm thinking about what i can do for retaliation.

our living room is right beneath their bedroom (along with my pc and fairly decent 5.1 setup), so i'm thinking around 7am this monday i'll put on untilted or druqks and aim the speakers directly at the living room ceiling, right under the chick's bed. i'm a little concerned though because our landlord lives on the ground floor, right below me (though her bedroom is on the other side of the house), and she does not deserve to be in the middle of a sound battle. i'm thinking i'll use my shitty speakers without the subwoofer and just tac them to the ceiling pointed up, any suggestions?

i also want to write a script where i can start playing winamp at a certain time every morning, since every morning roughly 30 minutes before would like to i get up i'm assaulted with the bottom of these fuckers' shoes. so roughly 30 minutes before they get up i want to assault them with chaotic music. any programmers have tips? i have some experience programming, but not really sure how to do that.

Use task scheduler to launch winamp.exe with an audio or playlist file as an argument.

Or create a .bat file and put something in it like:

"C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe" "D:\Downloads\Gescom___2001_03_09___Nesh.mp3"

And schedule that.

You could, you know, talk to your neighbour face-to-face. It's more respectable than just leaving notes around, which depending on how you worded them could be taken as passive-aggressive attacks rather than genuine concerns. You antisocial prick.

Face it, you're pissed off and you just want revenge, not to actually solve your problem. Breathe deeply, count to ten, etc. Talk to your neighbour when it's quiet, and if that fails talk to your landlord. Or you could steal their dog!

I have a back and forth going on with the guy who lives below me, at least I think we do but he's deaf.

So I'm the person who lives on the top floor and this is what bugs the crap out of me.

Anyways he plays TV so loud with these powerful speakers that I can usually always hear loud mumbling coming from the floor. This is especially affective when he watches news/sports/politcal shows, as the deep voiced males talking really cut thru with an inconsistent mumbling that drives me nuts.

His fan... I can feel it beneath my couch. He will turn it on high and once the entire fan starts shaking around it will make my couch rumble a tad. Over the course of an hour this will drive me nuts.

His AC... it might be a design flaw on our apt complex, but his AC unit is situated ontop of my apartment's living room. Every time he turns on the AC my entire apt shakes and it causes a vibrating hollow echo reverb chamber in my living room that feels like someone is always doing the laundry next to me. Its the worst tho when it first turns on as it causes my place to shake. If he kept turning it on and off i'd go nuts.

His windows... since he's deaf and loud, sometimes he will open the windows on the weekends and let that TV just blare. It just so happens that the audio reflects off the neighbors and bounces back at me.

I suggest playing Scud.

drill your ceiling, prop your microwave against the hole. Turn it on. It should resolve the videogame problem. If you go on for a month or two, there shouldn't be problem anymore.

You should try diplomacy before launching a sound war. Because once they'll identify you as the little mother fucker from beneath who plays scary music in the morning, they'll feel no discomfort in making noise, eventually more noise.

i don't know why talking to the landlord isn't the first thing you would do. talk to her, and that will sove your problems, A. they shut up their racket or B. They don't stop and then get kicked out. but choosing C. try to annoy neighbors back and be upset all the time cause they are too ignorant in the first place to have any common sense and will likely turn into a even worse case. ) doesn't make any sense.

Then she screams at her grandmother like a crazy bitch about being old enough to spend the night out and stuff like that, damn emo girl.

The old bit** is also crazy and deaf. The TV on at about 1am, then she turns it off and starts walking around the house, cleaning and pushing furniture. And then the old bit** goes to bed around 5 am and get's up at 7 am to scream with the chick because she's going to be late for school and stuff and I am going crazy here.
