i suck at getting a job

does anyone else?

today's rejection at a tapas bar, one of the more positive reactions i've had: "i prefer girls. i prefer girls for waiting staff, but if i can't find one i might have a boy". then i said i can cook (also looking for a souschef), and he snapped "you can't cook spanish! you have to be spanish to cook spanish!", i said yea ok,. he said he'd call me if he needs me.

Yup, finished university, can't find a job, going on the dole. Bollocks. Does anyone know of any jobs going in the London area?

I will accept cocaine as payment and blowjobs are not out of the question.

surprisingly today was the first time it was suggested i cut my hair. by an asian woman. i was asking her about a dish washing job, she said it requires dish washing experience, i asked how i can get dish washing experience, she said "cut your hair". i left saying i'm going to get my hair cut, so i'm going to tomorrow and then go back there, maybe,

im looking for a second job...does anyone have any idea if you apply for a delivery job at dominos pizza, if they ask to actually see your license or just assume youre telling the truth when you tick yes on the application form?

i rock at getting jobs. but that's probably cause i do the jobs that no one else wants to do or will stick around at. i also have wicked references cause i'm an a+++ employee. taubs if you came to canada you could come make tofu cause we're looking for another worker.

I've always been shit at getting a job. I've only had one job where I didn't get in through a friend.

locally, there were 90 people at one point applying for the same job and we aren't talking a luxury high paying one either.

yeah knowing people is key. i think i've also only had one job where i didn't get in through a friend.

you could be a good liar OR you could try and become the person you lie you are. then again, it is very tempting to sit in a basement wanking whilst eschewing social etiquette, tact, interpersonal skills, experience and education, only to try and blag it on the day of an interview.

Been applying left and right to jobs I'm perfectly qualified for and which my resume matches with perfectly.

Rejection after rejection after rejection.

What is fucking stupid is when you read personal ads and these gold-digging bitches say "I DON'T WANNA DATE NO UNEMPLOYED MAN, DEADBEATS NEED NOT REPLY". So... unemployed = deadbeat? Really, you airheaded walking cum receptacles? And you know these women just want to marry a rich guy so THEY won't have to work.

Right, bit of genuine advice here...

Shitty jobs (the ones where it's steady money but you don't really like the job) want shit people with no aspirations so they don't have to again employ more people as it is expensive to train new employees.

This is sometimes the case, so just remember to tailor your C.V. to this if they catch on you're actually intelligent.. dumb it down..

by jove joshier, youre onto something there. my friend with a 1st in english literature, and published in a national magazine couldn't get a job at mcdonalds. he's going to the czech republic in september to teach english, but in the mean time just needed any old job to make ends meet. mcdonalds was his last choice in the current arid landscape of unemployment - yet he got turned away, as obviously no mcdonalds want some long-haired vegetarian bourgoise cunt sitting in the corner reading kafka on his lunch break.

shit people with no aspirations are bad at doing jobs and nobody wants to hire them. it's better to be a capable and effective employee. my employers probably expect me to move on, but they'll hang on to me as long as i'm willing to stick around because i'm good at what i do.
