plaid Squarepusher set list

May 30th 2003 @ SonarClub, London.

w/ Ladytron / (Plaid laptop set) + others

I was lucky enough to get backstage after this gig and was chatting to Pusher for a bit. He signed some stuff for me and gave me his setlist. Aphex was sitting smoking joints in the corner of the dressing room and the whole situation was generally pretty fucking surreal to say the least. Only found this the other day when I was clearing out my room and thought it might interest some of you bastards. Any of you at that gig?

Yeah. The weird thing is though that he wasn't using his bass from what I can remember. It was a pretty noisy set with lots of freeform noise/white noise stuff happening.

Obviously he knew what he was playin but to me it sounded like an improv laptop mash-up.

I did sorta feel like a bit weird when I was talkin to him though. "Um..right...great set...um...<what to say next>"

And then:

Jar (spotting Twin in the corner): "Hey! You're Richard D James!"

Twin: "No I'm not."
