Richard's music can sound really mischievous too, like it's total cunning smartass music sometimes. I get a really potent sense of mischief out of his tunes and beats. I guess his personality comes through in his tunes more than most musicians.

girl/boy song redruth mix

yeah I'm sorry, laziness and my moderate english skills dont add up good

but what parts especially do you refer to?

As far as I'm concerned the actual statements didnt get lost..

and Chris Clark

quaristice interview in german de:bug (03/08)

De:Bug: Gibt es ein familiäres Gefühl auf Warp? Kennst du die anderen Acts?

Sean Booth: Also heute habe ich fast keine Ahnung. Chris Clark kenne ich vom Namen her. Na so was.

babelfish translation:

De: Bug: Is there a family feeling on Warp? Do you know the other Acts?

Sean Booth: Today I have no idea . I know Chris Clark from the name. Know his music, find it however not always good. I saw Maximo park on the television. People constantly said to me, how bad they are. But I found it alright. Nothing that I would releasen as label, but thats not what I'm talking about. In former times we didnt know most Acts. I tend rather with my friends to spend time as with acquaintance or colleagues. Aphex and Squarepusher are not friends, I know them a little. Rob and Tom shared in former times a dwelling, then I had met him naturally. He played us weird Miles Davis plates. He is weird a jazz guy. But jazz is weird, isnt it? Aphex is a rather nice chap, in addition, a Bully too. Many people are scared of him, which I can understand very well. Once he stayed overnight at my house. I wasnt there. When I returned, my Cds werent in the right order. Funny, isnt it?

thnx for th!s plst!k

A wrong translation of "ein Bully"?

Well you could say "prankster" instead. But seriously, I dont get what all the fuzz is about? Everyone who knows Aphex stuff must be aware of his humour. At least thats the way I see him. (Another thing Aphex stated in an interview: He and his friends prepared some water balloons and dressed up as Rhubears to mock people waiting in front of the ministry of sound.)

This interview was meant as a joke and to share that great interview (although its completly in german :P).

rofl rdj reorganized his cds

What probably happened is that Rich pulled a bunch of CDs out, spent all night ripping them to his laptop, then put them back at the end of the shelves. MYSTERY SOLVED!

someone needs to make a badly animated flash cartoon using superimposed heads from all the IDM gods and make some sort of big brother type of show

RDJ: Actually, only the other day I emailed Sean from Autechre a 20-second chunk of 'Equinoxe VI' [from 1978's Equinoxe album]. The end bit. I was, like, 'Check out these spicy pitch bends'! (Looks suddenly mortified) Um...

LOL at the (looks suddenly mortified)

Tripping during interviews can be intense I bet.

Autechre and the Aphex obviously have cosy tea parties in their japanese gardens. Also on sundays, weather allowing, they can be seen upon commons across the UK, cutting a comical character as Aphes pokes Sean in the bum with a french baguette whilst making their merry way to the picnic destination. Sean replies by going KRASSHHHBCCCCHHHHHSCTTTHHH and looking weird.

They have meat pies and talk to the birds, an otter trots along and prays with them for a while before heading to the offy for more cider.

foods in the tone of 'go to the fuckin store'

patayda chips

apple cracker thangies

carrots in brown paper bag

that sounds absolutely lovely.
