It was released today in NY and LA only and they moved the wide release date from December 25th all the Way to fucking January 15th. If Weta worked on both Avatar and Lovely bones you would think they would have coordinated their releases better as to not compete with each other. All the movie rags are saying Lovely bones was moved to avoid the rush to see Avatar.

So has anybody seen it yet? id like to hear some opinions.

i myself really enjoyed the book, and i never read books like that. cant see it translating very well into film.

methinks the delayed release date in January does not bode well for this one. the studio might be trying to bury it, like The Road.

bad book, looks like a bad movie. the "in between" sequences in the trailer look like something you'd find on a geocities site in the late 90's.
