Yeah, I was really surprised by how well behaved people are over there. Tokyo is the largest city in the world and has extremely low crime.

I was in Sapporo (5th largest city) this summer, and walking through the center of the city. I walked for 40 minutes. In that time I heard a car honk its horn ONCE.

true story.

lol, Sapporo also has it's own beer which you can buy in these funky futuristic silver cans that look like rocket ships, I can get it here in England in a local Japanese supermarket.

How are beer vending machines surprising? They are all over the place in Germany.

There wasn't a single beer vending machine when I was in Aachen.

There was one in our hotal in Italy (Venice), but just the one.

i think coming from an american perspective it's surprising because a lot of states especially in the south have ridiculous rules imposed on the such as some counties in the united states are 'dry' where no sale of alcohol is allowed and most places stop serving it after 12pm

I think Sapporo beer, and Kirin, and pretty much every beer I tried in Japan is pretty boring and bland compared the the good ol' USA. I'm not being a patriot here, and I think Japan does most things far better than the US, but not beer. IPA, Porter, Stout, etc, etc, they dont seem to have it. But they do seem to have many varieties of lite beer.

Sapporo and Kirin are like Bud and fucking Coors. Except better than coors.

Tokyo has some amazing brew pubs, I went to one last year where they specialized in Belgian/Trappist beers. Off the motherfucking hizook.

The states definitely has more in terms of quantity, but that's easy to explain through population. Japan can run with the best though in terms of quality.

2.7 litres of whiskey, fuck lol.

How much is 2580 yen in English moneys? Or American?

You really don't know how to find out easily for yourself or just too lazy?

Anyhow, 2580 yen = 32.7372 AUD

In our country that is a pretty reasonable price for that much whiskey, even it is shitty quality.

You may not have much of a need for it but whenever I want to quickly work out currency exchange I go to xe.com because it loads pretty fast and is easy to remember and quick to type.
