all the south africans i know tend to be quite hand-wringing and evasive when it comes to the issue of race and their country. it's a complex issue which they seem to not concern themselves with, in favour of just getting on with things and not letting the past affect things.

ozzies on the other hand... most i've met seem to excel at the loud mouthed drunken "seriously though mate, i'm not racist but...". i've heard quite a bit of casual vitriol about indigenous australians etc that is shocking. these people tend to be pretty thick though.

COOL FACT: the name 'ashes' comes from a satirical obituary that stated english cricket would be cremated and the ashes taken to australia after we were beaten by them on home turf.

I don't disagree with that. Muriltharan is a class act no doubt. 10 wickets in an innings is rarely seen. But, that ball there is sheer quality.
