oh cool, i must have missed that info (i train myself to tune out Hobbs voice) yeah one of the most exciting blocks of her show in quite a while, a lot more 'experimental' than 2 hours of wonky/garage/dubstep

i'm am by no means a fan of BOC but i can see an inspiration here for sure. Who was it that originally proposed a linkage to VHShead with BOC? possibly a side project.

That Mary Ann Hobbs session is just about the most awesome thing I've heard this year.

The tracks in the MAH are very good - I don't know if it has already been mentioned but I can definitely hear some similarities between VHS Head and some of the techniques which Gescom apply to their music. Really great stuff - I'll be getting the album next year.

Well, Bread, let me just say, the techniques maybe similar but the sound is not similar.

But I was impressed by this EP, the cut and paste style was retro, cliched, yet also fresh, which made for an interesting sound collage.

Like a Dickens' Christmas Carol a delicacy of Past Present & Future......

yes definitely sounds a lot like b1!

Who ever this VHS Head person is, they are very skilled and has great musical techniques

I have been listening to this mix every night all week, it hasn't become boring at all. This person has a very interesting approach.

ANd to think people were saying this was Gescom or BoC last year. It sounds nothing like either of those bands.

his Mary Anne Hobbs mix sounded great, and it was mentioned that he should have an album out in spring.

good news, he's my favourite new artist in ages.

Anyone heard anything more regarding this guy's debut album? With it currently being Spring, hopefully we might hear about a release date soon.

i'm also dying to hear about a full release...i'll jump on a vinyl release, for sure

I think VHS Head played some stuff from the upcoming album on Mary Anne Hobbs .

And I doubt it will come out this Spring ( maybe mid Summer or early Fall )
