Ableton Live 5.0

i really like live. I dont fuck around with the pattern control thing tho. just use the sequencer thing to write out midi. I find its really easy to fuck with sequencing midi data for reaktor and linking controls up and whatnot. what are these extra features I could be controlling with cubase? I mean it's either note on or note off, right?

if your using primarily the piano roll in ableton there isnt much difference. The only real power cubase offers over Ableton is it's ability to arrange audio regions/blocks in a linear visual fashion instead of being forced to use the cue playlist. Im not sure if Ableton can show you the entire song structure in one window either, i may be totally wrong though i barely use ableton.
