I have these speakers. They are absolutely killer for the price. They only took a few hours to put together, and my jaw dropped the first time I heard them. They really do compare favorable to speakers in the $400-$500 range. Unfortunately, they aren't that great as studio monitors because their frequency response is not flat at all.

 

Yeah, I'd say they're a bigger, high-end version of KRK Rockit's. The high frequencies tend to be a little sweeter, and the bass isn't as boomy. Of course, as long as you know your speakers, you can mix on anything.

 

I still mix on $30 CompUSA speakers I bought back in 2002.
