WANG is 10.....

This November WANG will have been putting on parties for 10 years!

To say a huge thanks to all you WANGers that have supported us over the years by coming to our parties, and for all the amazing times you have therefore given us, we will be celebrating in the only way we know how, with a great big dirty warehouse rave party! 8-)

We are currently hard at work planning are most outragous party yet..

We feel the line-up reflects some of the highlights of the last 10 years.

You can rest assured that all the sound systems will be totally unrestricted and firing on all cylinders with the sweetest heavy heavy bass sounds that make your nose twitch and your eyeballs vibrate!

Since the very start of WANG we have had a strong presence of mind-bending visuals to take your brain to another dimension and for 10th birthday party we've upped the ante yet again, with the largest old-school TV video wall seen since the 1980's, featuring over 1.5 tonnes of TV screens.

We will also have enough lights (including the Europe's largest collection of Goldenscans), lasers and strobes and blind a small army.

This is all due to take place on

Saturday 14th November 2009

venue?

the party is to be held in a secret central london warehouse location

So that weird carpark near Great Dover Street or Corsica studios it is then. I will be there, but the secret warehouse promoter thing annoys my tits off.

Sorry to annoy you, that's not our intention, you're wrong on both accounts I'm afraid. We have in the past put on quite a few events at Corsica, and have always listed them in advance as being at corsica, but due to licensing requirements this particular space requires the 'secret central london warehouse' tag.

more info will be released closer to the date

Nice 1

Im looking forward. Squarepusher always seems to step it up for Wang.

We are extremely lucky to have Tom as such a big supporter of what we do. Over the years there have been many many special moments, such as Tom playing at the Premises, where there was so little room behind the decks he hardly had room for his bass!

Or Tom performing at a NYE warehouse rave in limehouse in front of 1000 ravers in what I could only descibe as a wizard's outfit, with the biggest green lazer I've ever seen.

Or DJing at a outdoor free rave party in Thetford forest, where the crowd got so excited that we had to stop the music for a few minutes to stop them climbing all over the sound system.

But the doozey of all for me has to be last new years eve, where after Tom had performed, me and him were outside loading his gear into his car and having a chat, and a man ran by and snatched the purse of a girl stood outside the venue, who was rather worse for wear. Before I even knew what was happening, Tom was sprinting off after him, so I took off as quick as my legs would carry me after them, we ended up chasing the thief into the depths of an elephant and castle housing estate, where he eventually slipped and fell, allowing us to get back the purse. Thank feck that lots of the theif's mates weren't around the corner or Tom and I would have been in big trouble. That for me just sums up what Tom is like, a top geezer, and somebody I'm lucky to call a friend.

I guess Tom kind of developed his DJ and bass style, whilst performing at WANG over the years, and I also have to give a big up to CJ Marshall, his unsung sidekick, who's invariably on DJ support duty spinning tunes, whilst Tom, basses it up over the top.

Big lineup, will be reaching if possible. I'm all in favour of the secret location, bit of mystery never hurt anyone. Great anecdotes by the way :)

Awesome line up indeed!

Have been waiting to see Plaid playing live at a party (as opposed to a concert) for ages!

When will the venue be announced? so I can stop checking the website 10times a day  ?

We're really chuffed that everybody is so excited, we've been blown away by the response, the ticket sales have been incredible, it's going to go off big style.

Ed and Andy have always been big supporters of :wang: and so you just might get something rather special from the boys

I promise we will be announcing the venue real soon, so you'll just have to checking the site for a little while longer I'm afraid

Tickets arrived, friends persuaded, evening and following day booked off work, I can't wait!

Good man, we're trying to convince as many people as possible to book off the monday, or throw a sickie!

We're hopefully getting an afterparty sorted as well.

I booked the tickets a week ago and still nothing...Royal Mail are getting on my tits BIG TIME!

Royal mail are feckin useless, we've been speaking to bleep about contingency plans for any tickets that don't turn up.

We're hoping they all get there in time, as it just slows down the door when every ticket number has to be checked off a list.
