he did give some legal explanation as to why he couldn't do that. but the obvious answer is that it is a trick and we all know it.

Obviously. I still don't understand why he didn't do the Bonus Ball too though. Unless maybe it was a matter of time, and not drawing that last ball would give them an extra 5 seconds.
