it's not like she isn't covering the war, healthcare reform, missile defense systems in poland, etc...

1 in 3 NJ conservatives thinks that Obama might be the anti-christ. that isn't a bit fucking nutty to you? this is particularly newsworthy after the teabagger protest of the previous week, where many signs claiming the same crazy shit were seen... held by tens of thousands of people (or if you believe their count, nearly 2 million people).

i kind of have a love hate relationship with rachel maddow, while she does cover a lot of good and poignant stuff that isn't covered anywhere else on tv news shes been focusing way too strongly on republican opposition lately. And while it's done far more tastefully and intelligently than fox news, it becomes after a while very monotonous to always mention these shites.

totally agree. i kinda think that she is part of a liberal effort to do battle with FoxNews in the mainstream media. in the past it was FoxNews pushing the right-wing agenda, and the other networks just trying to stay credibly unbiased. i think MSNBC has decided they're sick of playing nice... and wouldn't mind grabbing a piece of that shock-value/preaching-to-the-choir money

see, and while i sorta wanna say good for you for playing dirty, its still despicable..it doesn't elevate them above their opponents in anyway.

i mean, for fucks sake this country is stupid.

yeah, but at least they stick to facts. they may focus on stories and angles that work in their favor, but they don't perpetuate lies and propaganda (i.e death panels, birthers, etc)

While I want to agree with your premise, any, and i mean any news institution is propagandized. Anyone with time to watch 24 hours of MSNBC for a day could come up with that conclusion (or any other news network for that matter)

three examples of PERPETUATING PROPAGANDA, twice of the examples admittedly so.

face it, liberal institutions aren't perfect and noble or looking out for the little guy. they answer to a business board just like FOX does.

for fucks sake, lemme edit this real quick.

edited, the ross calloway one won't come up, but that one definately ties in to the tea party thing.

basically MSNBC shot a video of a man with a semi-automatic on his waist during one of the tea parties, and then went on to claim these protests are by racist white men.....when in fact, if MSNBC had filmed the entire person, they would have seen it was a black man....not so good for their argument right? because thats not propaganda, right?

ps awepittance, where is your avatar from? massive LOLs

Edited by Smettingham Rutherford IV

its from this great show Analogue wings told me about called 'The Thick of It' . there was a movie just put out based on the show called 'In the Loop' which is also really good. highly recommend it, the character in my avatar is the main spin doctor Malcom Tucker, one of the best television characters of all time (at least since Hank Kingsley)

i got all the episodes of the show using rapidshare, they used to all be on yotube but BBC took them down.

The movie can be downloaded in very high quality since it was one of those 'on demand' at the same time it came out in theatres deals.

Maddow is the yin to Glen Beck's yang. The worst part is I'm secretly guilty of watching both late at night. Its kind of like watching an episode of cops where you get this strange satisfaction from learning how they think and operate.

ahh, another who shares my love of listening to left/right commentators....it just amazes me that these people, especially the FOX news radio giants can preach the same thing over and over for about 4 hours a day. Everyday. I mean, it has to be beyond you saying to yourself, "man, im just spewing bullshit over the air for a quarter of the day"....i think realizing that millions of people actually respect and listen to it over and over again makes you sincerely believe that you are right about all of this....it HAS to have a psychological effect over time.

for the little I have seen of rachel maddow, she's just as bad as Bill O' Reilly, but Bill appears to be much smarter and rachel is much more annoying. So FOX 1 - 0 MSNBC.

ZOMG! Lazerz pew pew pew!!!!11!!1!!!!1!oneone!shift+one!~!!!

Yeah, lets just ignore the whole mass manipulation of the populace. Nothing to worry about there, I'm sure it will pan out just fine.

Do you realize how hypocritical your sarcastic remark is? Lets educate ourselves on media and propaganda bias through a biased channel?

I swear to god, conservatives can be fucking dumb yeah, but they aren't the only ones incredibly ignorant of the situation on hand.

Bill's mellowed out, I can could probably sit through his show b/c he's kind of lightened up. Beck on the other hand has gone from snarky sometimes logical conservative to completely hysterical. That said the bullshit to censor him was outrageous, especially when Maddow and Olberman spew just as much agit-prop. Either way, this is why I watch BBC news America and browse google news.

Born in Hawaii, raised in Indonesia, and Kenya has something to do with his name. So he's like Tiger Woods Black. With a white grandma. Quasi-white Blasian?
