That loop IS the new BoC album.

Even if it is looped though, it's still only 1.8 seconds of actual sound though. You could stick any old crap on it and call it anything.

I laughed so hard.

Then got kind of sad. Here's to BoCset.

there is nothing particularly special about the loops, at least not for the average listener.

they're basically just snips from the tracks as mentioned, all of which are available elsewhere (except the BoC Spiro track). the loops vary in length due to the fact that each loop has it's own pitch adjustment.

all of the BoC ones however are 1.8 seconds long, since they have the pitch adjustment set as 0

I haven't had a chance to listen to the loops yet - is Spiro anything remotely recognizable, or something very unique (BoC said it was from a previously unreleased track)?

to me it's instantly recognisable as BoC, i won't even try to pinpoint what era it's from (since even MHTRTC is pieced from tracks and vignettes from different eras). there's a little bit of vocal cut-up-ery going on though. it makes me think of something that could've been from MHTRTC but i'm more than likely completely wrong

Actually Spiro is from their 3rd track from Lighthouse Live set. I'd love to hear that track, not just 1,8s cut.

i think you're right there :sorcerer:

the live version seems considerably slower though...i'm gonna put it on again, but this time have the pitch adjustment turned down

that 3rd lighthouse track is sooo good!

One of my favourites from all those unreleased live tracks. I think I'd feel a bit frustrated with just less than two seconds though and end up smashing the vinyl into shards.

Sadly I spent my eighty-odd quid elsewhere. Can I safely retag my MP3 now, by the way?

you mean re-tagging your lighthouse track? yeah i would say you're safe to re-tag it. it's blatantly the same track

Yeah, thanks for that dude. I'm a bit anal about my tagging.

Shit, that could be so easily misinterpreted.
