Been smoking for about 4 years, actually I feel like a fool because of all the crap I gave my dad and sister about doing it and the worse thing is I took it up in my early 20s too. I understand it is harmful and causes all sorts of bad things to happen to you internally, but I still did it because I honestly enjoy it. I can go a couple of weeks here and there without one but to be honest I need to stop, simple as.

I've been smoking since I was 15, but i'm a social smoker. I prolly smoke less than 5 a month.

I've been smoking for about a year now. Started by bumming a cigarette or two off friends when I was drunk, then started buying my own packs. I go to a pharmacy college, and it's funny how many future health professionals smoke. Anyone here smoke reds? Haven't had a cigarette since last thursday, sort of inciting me to quit...but we'll see.

I suspect all those who smoke for until old age have comparatively better immune systems than most others.

And there are probably plenty who tried to smoke until old age, but didn't get to old age, because of their smoking habit.

I don't smoke, anyway. I've smoked maybe three cigarettes in 25 years, mainly when drunk. I never felt the appeal (become addicted).

I won't start. It's too expensive. I'd rather spend that money on other things, especially as I'm not so addicted that is the other thing I want to spend my cash on.

i've never smoked a cigarette because I think they're nasty. i smoke weed maybe 5 times in a year. i can honestly have more fun without it so i don't do it often

I smoke about ten cigaretters a day. When I go out to the pub I smoke much more (coffee or beer )

I also smoke two-three blunts a day. Cigarettes are so ugly, but then again they taste so good sometimes...

There could be a topik for all those who would want to stop smoking. They would incourage or discourage each other, compete who would break the last and stuff like that and others could join in on the party. It might be a good motivator to stop. Or if not at least a good few laughs on the trying!

i've smoked for about 6 years solid now, pretty disgusting habit but still very satisfying at certain points. Have tried to quit, been unsuccessful. Will try to quit again soon. As far as how you look at it and people who have smoked for "years and years", there's no denying the fact that inhaling smoke with so many chemicals is nothing short of terrible for your health
